A Lazy Bookluver

Hi! I am a lazy bookluver. I call myself lazy because well I am. I don't review books for a living or as a profession. I am just a quiet and shy girl who loves to read and talk about books. I am very much an introvert and so I probably don't make the best conversationalist, but I will answer questions the best I can. I work in an observatory, and I will be going to grad school to be a librarian.

If you don't have it already...

Bloodlines - Richelle Mead

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead is free ONLY on the itunes book website. If you only own the book version, here is a great way to have the book on hand at all times.  Happy Hump Day!

What's that...a bird...a plane...no

it's a man of steel bookmark. (ya bad joke) But I love this bookmark. I don't think it would help me get more reading done though.

Reading progress update: I've read 52 out of 222 pages.

Springtime Pleasures (A Love for every Season) - Sandra Schwab

I don't know if I am in a book funk or what, but I am just not into this story at all.

Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead - Sheryl Sandberg

All I can say is, it is me not you. :) Okay, but seriously, I just had a hard time getting into it. I agree with most of what she has said so far, but I am bored reading it. I think I need to read something with more grab to it, as a sit and wait for my news.

review for Kissed by a Cowboy

Kissed by a Cowboy - Lacy Williams

This is a cute, short story about Haley, who has always had a crush on her friend's brother Maddox. But after a tragedy and time have separated them, a surprise reunion unleashes feelings that both have kept hidden for years. If you are looking for a quick, cute, clean, (kissing is as dirty as it gets here) read, You will enjoy this.

Review for Cress

Cress - 'Marissa Meyer'

Cress is the third book in the Lunar Chronicles. In this book we are introduced to a new character, Cress. She has been living on a satellite, floating between Lunar and Earth keeping the Lunar ships hiding and also help her mistress how ever she can. Cress is probably my favorite character so far. She is a little naive to the world, but she has just gone through so much and really developed into such a great character.

The book overall was a little slow. It picked up in the end. I don't want to spoil it for those who have not read it yet, but wow, that ending was something else. I cried and cheered and now I am anxiously awaiting winter. Winter is going to be fun, she seems like another character that will be fun to read about.

Fans of the Divergent series

Barnes and Noble free Friday nook book is: Inside Divergent: The Initiate's World.

The book title is a link to the website. ENJOY!! :)

okay, so this just a rant I need to get off my chest...

Why do all these p2p authors keep seeing Henry Cavill cause their "Edward"? Hopefully he will say NO to any of these offers. AUGH!

And nothing screams your books used to be twilight fanfiction, by using the same actor SM liked as Edward.

review for Terrorscape

Terrorscape (Horrorscape) - Nenia Campbell

I am probably not the best person to review on this book, being it is not really my usual reading genre but here it goes...

Thank you Nenia Campbell for hosting and giving away copies of your book.

When I started reading this book, I had not read the first or second book in the series. It did make it a little hard to follow, I got the gist of it all, but it was a bit difficult. I was then fortunate to be able to pick up a copy of Fearscape (book 1 in the series) and read that. Oh that helped so much!

Gavin has returned and he is creepier than ever! Be warned, this book deals with rape and kidnapping situations. At first I thought he would be into the game play, but he took it all to a new level. My heart just went out to Val, having to deal with college, a roommate, Gavin and then there is someone else in the shadow. I had to read this book in bits and pieces. Some of it got just a bit too much for me. (I am a wimp who loves fluff)

So happy to be able to read again.

I am finally finished with my application, the scholarship essays, and the interest essay. I had to put all of my reading on hold. Now I can't wait to dive back into a book after all this time.

As a fan of Twilight.... I found this just awesome

I read something John Green had said and was actually turned off from his books. But now after reading this, he changed my thoughts. This is a great twitter rant. Well said John Green!
